Joe is trash and I've never supported him. UHM this is the problem with any person who has ever felt powerless and built up this mentality that they worked hard, made it to the top on their own so now they can treat people like shit. I said all that to say this, sometimes yes, we can be are our worst enemy, BUT people gotta realize the games and tricks that are being played on blacks to get us to either feud each other, hate each other, kill each other, separate each other and definitely manipulating us into thinking the white man's ice is colder. Luckily, many people are opening up and see what Dame have been saying all these years and actually give him his flowers. This is why Dame go so hard because people don't see what goes on behind the scenes. Reason being of why he wanted to blackball Dame because dame didn't wanna deal with his bullshit anymore. Dame simple response is that he didn't give a F. Well he called dame one day and threatened to tell every jewish person in hollywood to blackball him. I don't know if you know "VLADTV" or "DjVlad" but he's some russian jew youtuber who interviews people in hiphop and such.
Dame still doing good these days but many people wouldn't know that cause the narrative is that "Dame is broke" or "Dame broke bridges". Something really has to irk his soul in order for him to go off. Many people say Dame be "breaking bridges" but what's weird is every single person he had a battle with, he took them to court and he actually wins every single time. Basically going behind the back and doing weird deals, the same deals that artists complain about today and whine of the record labels are "stealing from them".
That's why Dame bad mouthed the company so many times on and off camera cause he didn't like how they were operating with the artists that their independent label were signing. They tried to take huge cuts of their labor and dame wasn't having it. He was right in a sense of how record labels doing dirt to artists and how Jay-Z started off was independent with Dame as his manager so when they teamed up with Def Jam, all hell broke loose. He didn't know until he recently like 2 -3 years ago when somebody told him so he was hella wrong in thinking Def Jam wanted that meeting and being rude af to them. He was loud and wrong, on the fact he didn't even know his homeboy at the time (JAY-Z) had set up that meeting. I know I’m ranting but it irks me when black people people in the public eye play their business moves as a positive for black people everywhere, when the second they get some money they don’t want to pay people, they don’t want anybody asking them questions, and they just want people to be like “please and thank you” and take whatever they give them.Īctually Dame was wrong and right. At the end of the day if you go into business with ninjas you’re going to have to deal with a lot of the same shit, if not worse. Stop thinking bad business practices are just white people being snakish. Somebody needs to tell all Black people who want to start a business: you can’t run a corporation if you can’t even keep a mom-and-pop store running. I know a lot of this is Joe Budden’s issue as a person and businessman, but it’s a dime a dozen story: Black person complains about getting snaked in business, then when they boss up they turn into the same people they complained about.Įverybody is so honest and earnest and good moral character until they get a few dollars and some people to manage. I think it really opens a broader conversation about Black people and business. The recent firing of Rory and Mal from the Joe Budden Podcast sparked this thread.
